We offer two fiberglass variants, 4oz for performance boards and 6oz for strong boards.
Fiberglass comes on rolls of 100m, and have a width of 1m enough for any type of surfboard. Leftovers can be used for surfboard repairs.
We recommend the following glassing:
6oz bottom, 6oz deck patch, 6oz top (6 / 6+6)
To estimate the total amount of fiberglass per surfboard, take the number of layers and multiply it by the length. For a 7ft board with recomended glassing job you would need 7 meters of fiberglass. (7 ft * 3 layers = 21ft)
We offer UV resistant, super white epoxy. The epoxy formula is specificly made for surfboards.
Depends on the size of the surfboard, we recommend to buy the following amount of epoxy:
6ft = 3kg
7ft = 3.5kg
8ft = 4kg
At the moment we only offer 30kg / m3 EPS foam blocks. (10ft x 2ft x 1ft).
30kg/m3 is the mimium density to shape surfboards. (We have been unable to find foam with a higher density in Sri lanka).
We recommend a layer of qcell and epoxy on top of the blank before glassing for additional strength and ding resistance.
We import most our materials, our suppliers work with international surfbrands like DHD & Hadenshapes.
EPS foam is produced locally as the high volume makes it difficult to import.
With our local warehouse we are able to ship within 48 hours.
We recommend to copy existing shapes or print using pdf (100% scale), which we have designs available on contact.
